Does anyone know where to buy or how to make spiked kneeboards?  Believe it or not I haven't been able to find anything about this on the internet.  A gap in the continuum?

knee boards

Check out the Decorative concrete institute. Bob Harris runs that. He has a lot of videos of installing toppings and uses spike boards. He also shows how to make them.

cut a piece of 1/2 " plwood

cut a piece of 1/2 " plwood to give you an 18" square. Use 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch long wood screws to screw through the piece of plywood. Evenly spaced about 2" apart. when completed install a 12" piece of 1 x 2 as a handle so as to be able to pick up the boards.

kneeboard pics

Hi.  Here's the pics of the kneeboards.  Notice I grinded down the tips.  This is following the advice of the guy who does the concrete network vids.  He does that to his shoe spikes.

good!

You must be a light weight person! I put my screws every 2 inches!!! but I weigh 220 lbs. I would put a few more in your boards so that when you are reaching out and your center of gravity changes, the screw doesn't break.
